  2. You’ll see a search interface with an input field

Frontend Certificate Verification

Allow visitors or students to verify certificates publicly using the shortcode:

Basic Usage:

  1. Create a new page (or edit an existing one) where you want the verification form
    • Suggested page name: “Verify Certificate” or “Certificate Verification”
  2. Add the shortcode to the page content:
   [tutor_certificate_verify]
  1. Publish or update the page
  2. Visitors can now enter a verification ID and verify certificates publicly

Customized Usage:

You can customize the shortcode with optional parameters:

[tutor_certificate_verify
    button_text="Verify Now"
    placeholder="Enter 16-digit code"
    label="Certificate Verification ID"
]

Available Parameters:

  • button_text: Text displayed on the verify button (default: “Verify Certificate”)
  • placeholder: Placeholder text in the input field (default: “Enter certificate verification ID”)
  • label: Label text above the input field (default: “Enter certificate verification ID”)

Using with Elementor:

  1. Add a Shortcode widget to your page
  2. Paste the shortcode in the widget
  3. Style the widget using Elementor’s design options
  4. The shortcode will work seamlessly within Elementor

How Certificate Verification Works

When a visitor or admin searches for a certificate:

  1. The plugin queries the WordPress database for the verification ID
  2. It searches the Tutor LMS certificate records (stored in wp_comments table)
  3. If found, it retrieves:
    • Student user information
    • Course details
    • Completion date and time
    • Instructor information
  4. For frontend verifications, it automatically opens the actual certificate in a new tab
  5. For admin searches, it displays comprehensive information in an organized layout
